For the better part of a decade I’ve been helping people with their DIY projects and in-home repairs. And believe me… I’ve heard plenty of price-gouging horror stories. With that in mind, my goal has always been to provide enough information to assist customers in making better product and service choices. Then, with any luck, demonstrate the possiblity of more affordable options.
Recently, I decided to take some of that knowledge and experience, — on a part-time basis — and offer it directly to the Seniors in my neighbourhood.
Why Seniors? That’s simple. I’m also a Senior, one that happens to believe we should be helping each other when we can.
I specialize in the smaller home-repairs and installs other service providers don’t want, or shamefully charge an arm and a leg for. Sure, I’ll make a little, but you could save a lot.
What can I do for you?
Think, minor plumbing or everything under a sink; things like faucet and drain leak repair, and dishwasher hookup. Also think toilet and shower leaks.
But the list of things doesn’t necessarily end there. For example; Drywall repairs, bathroom or dryer vent repairs, furniture or cabinet assembly, TV mounts, door hardware, shelving install, etc.
Please keep in mind that I cannot offer emergency services. So, if it can be done in an hour or two, then I’m your ‘fix-it guy.’
Are there things I legally can’t do? Yes. However, what they are requires a brief discussion. That said, it doesn’t mean I can’t still take a quick look. Perhaps, a brief chat will point you in the right direction in regard to finding a more cost-effective solution.
Pssst… I don’t charge for that. Taking a look, I mean. It gives me an opportunity to introduce myself.
